No respite from scorching heat in Punjab, Haryana, temperature in Nuh reaches 48.2 degree Celsius

People in Punjab and Haryana did not get any relief from the scorching heat that has been continuing for the past several days even on Friday. On Friday, the temperature in Nuh and Faridabad in Haryana was recorded at 48.2 degrees and 48.1 degrees Celsius respectively. The severe heat wave continued in Chandigarh, the common capital of both the states.

Chandigarh. People did not get any respite from the scorching heat that has been continuing for the last several days in Haryana and Punjab even on Friday. On Friday, the temperature in Haryana’s Nuh and Faridabad was recorded at 48.2 degrees and 48.1 degrees Celsius respectively. The severe heat wave continued in Chandigarh, the common capital of both the states, and the maximum temperature here was recorded at 45.8 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there was severe heat in Sirsa too and the maximum temperature here was 47.8 degrees, while the maximum temperature in Hisar was recorded at 47.2 degrees.

Among other places in Haryana, Rohtak also experienced extreme heat with a temperature of 47.3 degrees, while Mahendragarh recorded a maximum temperature of 46.5 degrees Celsius. Ambala and Karnal recorded maximum temperatures of 45.4 degrees and 43.5 degrees Celsius respectively. Patiala in Punjab also experienced intense heat with a maximum temperature of 46 degrees, while Amritsar recorded a maximum temperature of 45.2 degrees. Ludhiana recorded a maximum temperature of 45.4 degrees, Pathankot 45.8 degrees, while Gurdaspur recorded a maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius.
