Maharashtra Elections: Congress held a big meeting of the screening committee, made this big claim regarding seat distribution in MVA.

A day after the Election Commission announced the polling date for Maharashtra, the screening committee of the Congress met today to decide on candidates for the single-phase elections. Congress is part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance and Congress leaders earlier this week claimed that seat-sharing with its alliance partners has been finalized for most of the 288 seats going to polls.

After the screening meeting of Maharashtra Congress, Congress in-charge for Maharashtra Assembly elections Ramesh Chennithala said that many topics were discussed today, we will have to chair another meeting. After this there will be a CEC meeting. He alleged that Mahayuti is making false promises to the people, they were in power for a long time but till now they have not taken any decision but now when elections are coming then how did the cabinet take 200 decisions? They are trying to mislead people, they don’t have to implement it so they are making false promises.
Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat said that this (seat-sharing) has not been decided yet, there are some seats which are yet to be discussed. Which party’s candidate can win from where, that seat goes to that particular party. Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole said that he is not a report card. The Mahayuti government in Maharashtra had to issue a ‘rate card’. The grand alliance government of Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis committed the sin of defaming Maharashtra. Today he had to atone for that sin. But he lied to the people and released his false report card today. They have sold Maharashtra to Gujarat.
