Indian female wrestler Vinesh Phogat has said goodbye to international wrestling after being disqualified in the Olympics. This is a very surprising decision given by Vinesh. By sharing a post on social media, she informed that she is saying goodbye to wrestling. Vinesh remained in the hospital
Vinesh spent most of Wednesday at the polyclinic inside the Games Village as the weight loss measures left her dehydrated. These measures included starving, abstaining from fluids and staying up all night to sweat. Cuban wrestler Yusnelis Guzman Lopez, who lost to Vinesh in the semi-finals, replaced the Indian in the final where she lost to Sarah Ann Hildebrandt of the US. Vinesh is now relying on the sports tribunal to become joint silver medallist with Lopez. However, United World Wrestling, the international governing body of wrestling, has made it clear that there will be no change in the current rules related to weight.
