America’s hand in Bangladesh coup? Allegations being made after Sheikh Hasina’s incomplete speech surfaced

Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made a very serious allegation against America. Hasina has accused America of plotting a change of power in the country. She said that America was demanding St. Martin Island from Bangladesh to establish its dominance over the Bay of Bengal. Hasina refused to hand over this island to America, so they plotted a change of power in Bangladesh. Let us tell you, Hasina wanted to address the countrymen before leaving the country, but it could not happen.
Before resigning from the post of Prime Minister and leaving her residence in Dhaka, Sheikh Hasina wanted to give a speech, which could not happen because the protesters had reached her residence. Now while in India, Hasina has talked about this speech with her close aides. Her incomplete speech said, ‘I resigned so that I do not have to see the procession of dead bodies. They wanted to come to power on the bodies of students, but I did not let this happen. I resigned from the post of Prime Minister. I could have remained in power, if I had given up the sovereignty of St. Martin Island and allowed America to establish its dominance over the Bay of Bengal. I request the people of my country to please not be misled by the fundamentalists.’

The speech further said, ‘Perhaps, if I had stayed in the country, more lives would have been lost. I have removed myself. You were my strength, you did not want me, so I left.’ It said do not lose hope. I will come back soon. I have lost, but the people of Bangladesh have won, the people for whom my father, my family died. Let us tell you, St. Martin Island is located in the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal, whose area is only 3 square kilometers.
In the speech, Hasina said, ‘If I had stayed in the country, more lives would have been lost, and more resources would have been destroyed. I took the extremely difficult decision to leave. I became your leader because you chose me, you were my strength. The Awami League has raised its voice again and again. I will always pray for the future of Bangladesh.’
