New Delhi. Prasar Bharati on Monday announced that it will telecast India’s matches of the ongoing T20 World Cup, Paris Olympics and Wimbledon on its DD Sports channel. Prasar Bharati CEO Gaurav Dwivedi made this announcement during an interaction with the media here on Monday. Prasar Bharati also launched a special anthem ‘Jazba’ for the T20 World Cup on this occasion. Doordarshan also announced live telecast, postponed telecast and highlights of Paris Olympics from July 26 to August 11 and Paris Paralympics from August 28 to September 8. Along with this, India’s Zimbabwe tour from July 6 to 14 will also be telecast.

Five T20 matches will be played on this tour after the T20 World Cup. According to the release, India’s limited overs series in Sri Lanka from July 27 to August 7 will also be telecast on DD Sports. Apart from this, Doordarshan will also telecast the finals of French Open and Wimbledon. The release said, “Prasar Bharati is in advanced stages of talks with various sports bodies and agencies to show various sports leagues and competitions on its sports channel.” 55 matches will be played from June 2 to 29 in the T20 World Cup being held in America and West Indies. For the first time, 20 teams are participating in it.
