Police officials said the ambassador informed them that his wife left their residence at 11am and did not return. Her mobile phone is also switched off, so she could not be contacted. According to reports, investigations are underway to ascertain if the disappearance has any connection to the incident. Sources indicated that when the fake police officers stopped the foreign national woman they were not in uniform. In a separate incident, a foreign woman was allegedly raped by a security guard assigned to protect her in Islamabad’s G-6/4 area.
