IND v PAK: Know why ICC changed the hotel of Pakistan cricket team? The reason is related to India

There will be a tough competition between India and Pakistan on 9 June in the T20 World Cup 2024. But even before that, this mega tournament is in the headlines for some reason or the other. The uproar over the New York pitch has not stopped and now the ICC has had to change the hotel of the Pakistan cricket team.

In fact, the ICC has shifted the Pakistan team to another hotel in New York after the Pakistan Cricket Board complained about the 90-minute drive to the ground for the upcoming T20 World matches. A Pakistan Cricket Board source told the Associated Press on Thursday that after the intervention of chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the Pakistan team was moved to a hotel which is just a five-minute drive from the specially built stadium on Long Island in Westbury, New York.

The Indian cricket team, which is playing its three group games in New York, is staying at a hotel which is just a 10-minute walk from the ground. India won its first match there against Ireland on Wednesday.

Sri Lanka have already expressed concern over the long drive their team had to make to the ground in New York after being allotted a hotel which was more than an hour’s drive from the venue. Pakistan will travel to New York after playing their first Group A game against co-hosts United States in Dallas on Thursday.
