India abstained from voting in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on a resolution demanding Israel to end its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territory within a year.

India did not participate in the voting on the resolution in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), which demanded Israel to end its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territory within a year. India emphasized that it is a strong supporter of dialogue and diplomacy and efforts should be made to build bridges instead of increasing divisions. In this regard, the 193-member General Assembly passed the resolution, with 124 countries voting in favor, 14 against and 43 countries, including India, abstaining from voting.

There is deep cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense and procurement to agriculture science and security. India’s friendship with Israel is becoming deeper every year.
