Jharkhand Elections 2024: Who is stronger than whom in Jharkhand? Know what are the preparations of political parties

The bugle of assembly elections has been sounded in Jharkhand. In such a situation, the big question is whether the ruling coalition government led by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will be able to remain intact or whether BJP is going to get a chance here. There are 81 seats in the state. Voting will be held in Jharkhand in two phases on November 13 and November 20. Counting of votes will take place on November 23.

BJP’s preparation

Buoyed by the unprecedented success in Haryana in the recently concluded assembly elections, the saffron party has set the bar high and is determined to secure as many seats as possible without hampering the possibility of an amicable solution. BJP is using its full strength here. At the same time, efforts are being made to take colleagues along. Earlier, the saffron party had planned to leave only 12 seats for other NDA allies, however, it has decided to make adjustments. Nitish Kumar-led JDU is pressing for 4 seats, while BJP wants to leave 2 seats for the party. There is disagreement on two seats, which both the parties are likely to resolve soon.
The biggest challenge to the saffron party is likely to be from the AJSUP, which has a huge presence in a vast area, mostly comprising tribal dominated constituencies. According to media reports, the party has demanded 16 seats while the saffron party is ready to give up 10-11 seats. The party contested 52 seats in the 2019 assembly elections, however it won only 2 seats and got just 8.10% votes. Of the 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand, 28 are reserved for Scheduled Tribes. AJSUP has a presence in many seats and the saffron party can use this organization to take on its arch rival JMM.

What is INDIA Bloc doing?

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday said the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led alliance will contest all 81 seats in the upcoming assembly elections. After the JMM central committee meeting, Soren expressed confidence in the party’s election preparations and assured that the alliance will regain power in the state. Meanwhile, the Congress-backed JMM-led alliance is focusing on tribal sentiments along with welfare initiatives like Maiyan Samman Yojana and Abua Awas Yojana to win the upcoming elections.
Hemant Soren’s arrest by ED is likely to inflame tribal sentiments as JMM-Congress are playing the victim card with tribal voters, who largely believe that the CM was arrested on false charges. The ruling coalition is blaming BJP for his arrest. The JMM-led coalition government passed a resolution in the Jharkhand Assembly in November 2020 demanding the inclusion of Sarna as a separate religion in the census and seeking the Centre’s intervention for recognition of a separate Sarna religious code.

who said what

On the announcement of Jharkhand assembly election dates, JMM MP Mahua Maji said that the elections were announced a month in advance, due to this some work will definitely be disrupted but we are fully prepared for the elections because we have been working for the public since the beginning. Have done. The public has full confidence that JMM and coalition government will be formed here again.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said that BJP will form the government in Jharkhand with two-thirds majority. The tribal population has come down from 45% to 27-28%. By the next census it will be reduced to 22%. Muslims have increased by 4% in the entire country, in our place (Jharkhand) Muslims have increased by 15-16%. These are Bangladeshi infiltrators, we will drive them away. Will implement NRC. The land taken by Muslims will be returned to the tribals.
On the announcement of Jharkhand Assembly election dates, Union Minister Annapurna Devi said that we thank the Election Commission for announcing elections in Jharkhand in two phases. We are confident that the Election Commission will conduct fair and peaceful elections. BJP is always ready for elections, party workers always work with dedication, our party has programs from streets to Parliament. Today the Jharkhand government has become completely corrupt and there is an atmosphere against the state government in the entire state, people want this corrupt government to go.
