On Friday, Tamil Nadu minister Rajkannappan mistakenly referred to Udhayanidhi Stalin as the state’s deputy chief minister. He immediately corrected himself, saying he could refer to Udhayanidhi as deputy chief minister only after August 19. According to top party sources, work is underway to promote Udhayanidhi Stalin, state sports minister and son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, as Tamil Nadu’s deputy chief minister.
