Narayan Sai, who is serving a sentence in Surat jail in a rape case, has been allowed to meet his elderly father Asaram in Jodhpur jail. In view of Asaram’s increasing age, Narayan Sai had applied in the Gujarat High Court to meet Asaram. A positive reply has been given by the double judge bench. Narayan Sai will meet his father Asaram in Jodhpur jail for 4 hours.
Son and father have not met for 11 years
In view of Asaram’s increasing age, Narayan Sai had sought interim bail of 30 days in Gujarat High Court to meet Asaram. In which it was said that Asaram is 86 years old. He is suffering from old age related problems. He is lodged in Jodhpur jail. Earlier he was admitted to Jodhpur AIIMS. He was then admitted to an Ayurvedic hospital. His health is deteriorating. Heart attack also occurs. Angiography revealed that there was 90 percent blockage in two of his veins. His hemoglobin was also low and there was internal bleeding. He is suffering from diabetes and blood pressure. Son and father have not met for 11 years. Showing humanity, the double judge bench gave a positive response to this petition.
One ACP and five policemen will be detained
The court did not agree to grant interim bail for 30 days. Therefore, the court ordered that Narayan Sai be taken from Surat to Jodhpur jail by flight under police arrest. It will include one ACP, one PSI, 2 head constables and 2 constables. Narayan Sai will bear all these expenses.
