‘Naxal violence is a big challenge for democracy’, Amit Shah said in Raipur- Left wing extremism will be eliminated by 2026

Home Minister Amit Shah said in Raipur today that a strong strategy is needed for a decisive attack against Naxalites. After a meeting on the Maoist threat in Raipur, he said that Naxal violence is a challenge to democracy. He said that a total of 17 thousand people have lost their lives in the country so far due to Naxal violence, while Naxal incidents have decreased by 53 percent during 2014-24 compared to 2004-14. He claimed that we believe that we will be able to free the country from left-wing extremism by March 2026.

Amit Shah said that I appeal to the Naxalites to give up violence and surrender. He said that in the first 10 years, 6617 security personnel and civilians had died and now it has reduced by 70%.. I am confident that our fight has reached the final stage and we will be able to completely free the country from the Naxal problem by March 2026. Shah said that this meeting was organized to ensure 100% implementation of all the schemes of the Government of India and the Government of Chhattisgarh in Naxal-affected districts, progress of infrastructure projects in such areas and to overcome the challenges faced during such projects.
The BJP leader said that now the time has come to give a final blow to the problem of left wing extremism with a strong strategy. He said that in today’s meeting, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh has also taken some decisions, the Chhattisgarh government and the Home Ministry of the Government of India will run a campaign to make literate those who have remained illiterate due to the long-term effects of left wing extremism, no matter what their age. We will also make radical changes in the purchase of tendu leaves.

Shah said that a joint task force of 3 states and 2 states has been formed, wherever there is a junction, it has been made, the blueprint for exchange of information has been strengthened and the agencies of the Government of India are working for coordination between all the states and we have got very good results of the joint task force. At the same time, regarding the census, he said that we will do it at the appropriate time, when we decide then I will announce when and how it will happen.
