The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) easily secured a majority of 272 in the 543-member Lok Sabha.

Netanyahu said on the social media platform ‘X’ that hearty congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his success in the elections. He said, “I wish that the friendship between India and Israel continues to grow to new heights. Congratulations.” Modi was the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1992. He visited Israel in July 2017. Later he also visited the West Bank and focused on India’s relations with Palestine.
