Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) has kept its election symbol as key instead of stick. Party president Om Prakash Rajbhar was considering changing the election symbol since the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, the party has made Premchand Kashyap the president of the UP unit of SBSP. It is worth noting that Om Prakash Rajbhar is a minister in the Yogi government and is an ally of the NDA. Rajbhar’s son Arvind Rajbhar contested the Lok Sabha elections but lost. Arvind’s election symbol was stick, which came third in the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM).

In an X post, Om Prakash Rajbhar wrote that he attended the “State Level Organization Review Meeting” organized in Ravindralaya Auditorium Hall Lucknow in coordination with Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party as the chief guest and announced the state officials and district presidents of 25 districts and after the meeting announced the party’s new election symbol “key”. Rajbhar and his son believe that they lost the election because their voters mistakenly pressed the button of the hockey symbol below instead of the stick symbol.

Today, a party meeting was held in Lucknow in which Om Prakash Rajbhar was re-elected as the party president and the party officially changed its election symbol from a stick to a key. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Minority Welfare Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, while indicating preparations to start a new system for recognition of madrasas in the state, said that two universities will be opened and madrasas will be affiliated to them.
