New Delhi. National Stock Exchange (NSE) Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ashish Kumar Chauhan congratulated outgoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his ‘historic third consecutive victory’ in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won a majority in the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday. While the NDA is above the majority mark of 272 in the 543-member Lok Sabha, the BJP, which won 240 seats, has fallen short of the magic figure for the first time since 2014 and is dependent on its allies to form the government.

“Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji for the third consecutive historic victory under your leadership in the Indian General Elections… Best wishes for your third term as the Prime Minister of this great nation of ours,” Chauhan said in a post on ‘X’. Besides, the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) congratulated the BJP on its victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and said it was looking forward to a period of ‘progressive’ leadership and positive reforms. Chamber President TR Kesavan said in the statement, “The industry is eagerly awaiting the policies of the new administration aimed at promoting economic growth, stability and innovation.
