Washington. A senior leader of ‘Overseas Friends of BJP’ (OFBJP-USA) in America said that Narendra Modi’s supporters will celebrate his third swearing-in ceremony. He said that Modi’s third swearing-in ceremony will be celebrated in cities like New York, Jersey City, Washington, Boston, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. OFBJP-USA president Adapa Prasad said, his victory will be celebrated in 22 cities of America from this Friday to next Sunday.
Members of OFBJP-USA held car rallies in several cities of the US to spread awareness during the election campaign. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the largest party in the Lok Sabha and this is the first time since 1962 that a prime minister has come to power for the third consecutive time. Modi will take oath as prime minister for the third consecutive time, which will be the first time in 60 years. Prasad said that after the formation of the new government in India, OFBJP-USA will work towards further strengthening India-US relations.
He said, we will unite the diaspora to strengthen India-US relations. He said that he will also request the Prime Minister to establish a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Commission for all issues related to the NRIs. Prasad said that a large number of Indians living abroad face problems related to property and even small problems like matching of bank signatures. He said, we are demanding the establishment of an NRI Commission, which will solve these issues.
