India finally got its first medal in wrestling in Paris Olympics 2024. In fact, wrestler Aman Sehrawat won the bronze medal by defeating the wrestler from Puerto Rico in the 57 kg category. In the last two minutes of the match, Aman took a lead of 8-5 over the wrestler from Puerto Rico. During this time Cruz Darin Toi looked completely out of breath in front of Aman. The situation was such that he had to take a break. In the last one minute, Aman took a lead of 12-5. As the time ended, Aman scored 13 points and won the match. In this way, India got its sixth medal on the 14th day.
Although Aman missed out on securing a medal on Thursday, he performed brilliantly in the bronze medal match and gave the country its sixth medal in the Paris Games. India has so far won a total of 6 medals in the Paris Olympics, including five bronze and one silver. However, this figure is less than the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
