New Delhi. Badminton player PV Sindhu has invested in Greenday’s ‘Better Nutrition’ brand and will also be its brand ambassador. This information was given in a statement. The ‘Better Nutrition’ brand aims to overcome the deficiency of micronutrients in India through ‘biofortified’ (bio-enhanced) foods. Under this, the company provides ‘biofortified’ flour, rice, millet, ragi and maize. Sindhu said in the statement, “I am happy to collaborate with a brand that works towards tackling the serious issue of nutrition deficiency in our country.”

GreenDay was founded by Rastogi and Aishwarya Bhatnagar, alumni of the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad). “Nutritional deficiency is a serious concern in India, where more than 50 per cent of the population suffers from deficiency of essential nutrients such as zinc, iron and protein,” said Rastogi, the company’s chief executive officer (CEO). The company has also partnered with industry leaders such as Harvest Plus Solutions and Yara Fertilizers to develop advanced ‘biofortified’ foods.
