Mumbai Traffic Police received a threatening message demanding extortion of Rs 5 crore from Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Along with the threat, it has also been claimed that his dispute with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi will be resolved. The person sending the message described himself as close to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and said that if the extortion money was not paid to him, he would put the actor’s life in danger.
According to Mumbai Police, “A threatening message has been received on the WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police, demanding Rs 5 crore from actor Salman Khan to end his long-standing rivalry with Lawrence Bishnoi. ” The sender claimed, “Don’t take this lightly, if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end his enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi then he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given then Salman Khan’s condition will be similar to that of Baba Siddiqui. It will get even worse.”
Mumbai Police has taken the matter very seriously and has started investigating the matter. This incident has happened in the backdrop of the recent murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. Earlier on Thursday, Mumbai Police had issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) for Shiv Kumar Gautam and Zeeshan Akhtar, who shot at NCP leader Baba Siddiqui.
Mumbai Police had initially issued a lookout circular only against Shubham Lonkar and now it has issued a lookout circular against both of them also, the police suspect that they may flee to Nepal. According to the police, information about the accused has been given at every border and airport and the search for the accused is going on.
Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, demanded justice for his father and family and appealed that his father’s death should not be politicized and should not go in vain. So far, the Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested four accused, while three are still absconding, whom the police are actively searching for. Days after Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Mumbai, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday reiterated that those responsible for such crimes will be held accountable and punished.
Maharashtra Chief Minister said, “No one will be spared. Strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.” NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Siddiqui was shot outside his office in Nirmal Nagar. He was hit by two bullets in the chest and was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai for emergency treatment, where he died on 12 October.
