T20 World Cup: I try to teach a lot… Jaspreet Bumrah’s statement about young bowlers

Jasprit Bumrah is once again ready to lead the Indian bowling attack in the T20 World Cup. This time, Mohammad Siraj, young Arshdeep Singh and all-rounder Hardik Pandya will be with him to help in fast bowling. Bumrah told how he, being the most senior, advises the young players.

Jasprit Bumrah believes that one should not try to teach too much to young players and they should be allowed to learn on their own.

Bumrah said in a conversation with ICC, “Don’t try to teach too much. This is something I have learned, because whenever people need help, I let them ask questions. Or if they need my help. Because you don’t want to give too much information.”

Jasprit Bumrah believes that new players should be allowed to find their own solutions. Because they too have reached here by working hard and not relying on luck. He said, it is not that the young players have just been lucky and that is why they have reached here, so this is what I try to do. I share whatever information I have gained from my experience. But I do not try to burden them with too much information. Because that is also a part of the journey. You have to find your own methods and solutions.

The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma will start its T20 World Cup campaign with a match against Ireland on June 5. Before this, a warm-up match is also to be played between India and Bangladesh today i.e. on June 1.
