On the indefinite hunger strike of junior doctors, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh said that such hunger strikes should not be continued as now the process is in the court. CBI is investigating. A charge sheet has been filed against the accused arrested by Kolkata Police. There is no need for hunger strike.

Junior doctor Aniket Mahato, who was admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated due to a hunger strike demanding justice for the deceased in a case of rape and murder of a trainee female doctor at RG Kar Hospital, was discharged on Thursday after six days. . A senior doctor of the hospital said that the doctors have advised him (Aniket) to take ‘complete rest’ for seven days, after which his health will be reviewed.
