Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from Paris Olympics 2024 due to ineligibility. Which has shattered the hopes of the whole country. Due to being 100 grams overweight, Vinesh had to be out of the final of the 50 kg event. After which politics has also intensified on this. Senior Congress leader and former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that if he had the majority, he would have sent Vinesh Phogat to the Rajya Sabha. Vinesh’s uncle and Indian wrestling legend Mahavir Phogat has retorted to his statement.

Let us tell you that Mahavir Phogat accused Bhupinder Singh Hooda of discriminating against Vinesh’s elder sisters Geeta and Babita. He has termed the statement of the Congress leader as a political stunt. He also asked why Bhupinder Hooda did not send Geeta to Rajya Sabha while he was in the government? Geeta and Babita Phogat are the daughters of Mahavir Phogat. Geeta won gold in the Commonwealth Games 2010 held in Delhi. Babita Phogat is associated with BJP.

Mahavir Phogat said on Bhupinder Hooda’s statement that in 2012, Geeta qualified as the first woman Olympic. Bhupinder Hooda’s government was in power then and Geeta and Babita were to be given the post of DSP. But Hooda sahab discriminated and appointed Geeta as Inspector and Babita as Sub Inspector. After filing a case in the court, the court also took cognizance of it. When Hooda’s government was in power, Geeta made many records, then why was she not sent to Rajya Sabha? This is just a political stunt.
