Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva told in a press conference today that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is today in an important position like the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha but his statements whether in the country or abroad are creating social animosity.
New Delhi. Delhi BJP today lodged three police complaints against the anti-people statements made by the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, in the US on September 10. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva told in a press conference today that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is today in an important position like the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, but his statements are creating social animosity whether in the country or abroad.
In this regard, on 10th September, during his US visit, he made false and misleading statements about the feeling of insecurity among the Sikh community in India and also commented on the reservation being given to the Scheduled Castes in the country as per the provisions of the Constitution. These statements made by Rahul Gandhi in the US have not only created tension and panic among the Sikh community in India but also among the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, while on the other hand, such statements by Rahul Gandhi sitting abroad have tarnished the image of India.
Delhi BJP President has said that it is regrettable that instead of apologizing to the country for his misleading statements, Rahul Gandhi is increasing animosity in the country by getting Congress leaders to make further controversial statements. Virendra Sachdeva said that there is great anger in the Sikh community due to Rahul Gandhi’s statement, their religious sentiments have been hurt.
In this regard, today Delhi BJP Sikh Cell Convenor Sardar Charanjit Singh Lovely has filed a police complaint under Sections 152, 196 (1), 197 (1) (C), 197 (1) (D) of the Indian Penal Code and has demanded legal action. Similarly, there is a lot of anger among the Scheduled Caste communities due to Rahul Gandhi’s statement related to abolishing reservation, due to which today Delhi BJP Scheduled Tribe Front Convenor Mr. C.L. Meena has filed separate complaints at Sansad Marg Police Station and Scheduled Caste Front President Mr. Mohanlal Gihara has filed separate complaints at Punjabi Bagh Police Station. Delhi BJP President has said that we demand from Delhi Police that an investigation should be done on the basis of our complaints and legal action should be taken against Rahul Gandhi.
