Who is Preeti Pal?

Preeti Pal is a resident of Kaseru Buxar village in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Coming from an ordinary family, it was not at all easy for Preeti to make a career in athletics. Her father Anil Kumar runs a milk dairy. Preeti’s struggle is no less than an inspiration. Preeti was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in her childhood. Cerebral palsy is a disease in which there is no proper communication between the brain and the body muscles. Due to which a person suffering from this disease takes a lot of time to react to anything.

It is not that Preeti’s father did not get her treated, rather her father tried a lot to cure her but she could not recover completely. However, despite this, Preeti did not lose courage. For better treatment, Preeti came to Delhi where she met coach Gajendra Singh at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Preeti started training under his guidance. After this, Preeti left her mark in para sports and created history by winning two medals in Paris Paralympics.
