Union Home Minister Amit Shah today claimed that the government has decided to uproot Naxalism and the idea of ​​Naxalism from the country before March 2026. Shah said this while interacting with about 55 Naxal violence victims from Chhattisgarh at his residence in New Delhi. He said that the central government has been successful in eliminating Naxalism in the entire country except 4 districts of Bastar. Shah also appealed to the Naxalites to give up violence, lay down arms and surrender.

The Home Minister said that if the Naxalites do not listen to his appeal to give up violence, the government will soon launch an all-out campaign against them. He stressed that we will end Naxalism. I appeal to (Naxalites) to surrender before the law, give up their weapons. He said that in many places in the North-East and Kashmir, many people have given up weapons and joined the mainstream. You are also welcome to join the mainstream, but if this does not happen, we will launch a campaign against it and will also be successful in it.

The Union Home Minister said that the security forces have achieved significant success in their operations against the Maoists and the problem is now confined to only four districts of Chhattisgarh. He said that the Maoists had once conspired to build a corridor from Pashupatinath (Nepal) to Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), but the Modi government foiled it. Shah said that the Home Ministry will soon prepare a welfare scheme for the Naxal violence-affected people of Chhattisgarh in collaboration with the state government.
