Mamata said on the election result that she will have to hold the feet of TDP and Nitish Kumar and said- I am happy with the opinion of the people

The All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) party – also known as TMC – gained significant leads in the Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal on Tuesday, data from the Election Commission of India (ECI) portal, results.eci.gov showed. As of 5:35 pm, the TMC was leading in 29 of the 42 parliamentary constituencies in the state, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was ahead in 12 and the Indian National Congress (INC) in just one. West Bengal has the third largest representation in the lower house of Parliament after Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that I am happy that the Prime Minister did not achieve the majority figure. The Prime Minister has lost his credibility, he should resign immediately because he had said that this time we will cross 400. I had told you that I don’t know whether we will cross even 200 or not. Now he will have to hold the feet of TDP and Nitish Kumar. Mamata Banerjee said that I am happy with the opinion of the people of Bengal, propaganda was spread about Sandeshkhali, our mothers and sisters were disrespected but despite that we won the Sandeshkhali seat.

Abhishek Banerjee moves towards victory

Trinamool Congress general secretary and two-time MP Abhishek Banerjee is headed for a third consecutive victory in West Bengal’s Diamond Harbor Lok Sabha seat by a massive margin of 6.5 lakh votes. According to the latest data from the Election Commission, Banerjee has secured 929,584 votes, while his nearest rival Abhijit Das of the Bharatiya Janata Party got just 2,74,476 votes. This huge lead not only ensures Banerjee’s victory, but it will be one of the biggest margins of victory in Lok Sabha elections in recent decades. In the last Lok Sabha election of 2019, Banerjee won by a margin of three lakh votes and got more than 56 percent of the votes.
