Congress leader Salman Khurshid on Tuesday said that “everything may seem normal on the surface”, but what is happening in Bangladesh can happen in India too. Former Union Minister Khurshid said this on the occasion of the release of educationist Mujibur Rahman’s book ‘Shikwa-e-Hind: Political Future of Indian Muslims’. He said, “Everything may seem normal in Kashmir. Everything may seem normal here. We are celebrating victory. However, some people believe that that victory or the success of 2024 was minor, perhaps a lot still remains to be done.” The former Union Minister said, “The fact is that something is going on inside.” He said, “What is happening in Bangladesh can happen here too… The way public anger erupted over things in Bangladesh, the nature of our country prevents that kind of anger from erupting over things.” Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha also addressed the program.
