Before the counting of votes, Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory for Tuesday

New Delhi. Delhi Police on Tuesday issued an advisory regarding traffic arrangements in the national capital in view of the counting of votes for the general elections. This information was given by officials. The general elections were held in seven phases between April 19 and June 1. Counting of votes will take place on June 4. Counting of votes will take place at seven places in Delhi. In North East Delhi, it will take place at ITI Nand Nagri. The advisory said that traffic movement on Wazirabad Road (Mangal Pandey Road) from Gagan Cinema T-Point to Nand Nagri Flyover will be restricted from 5 am.

It said traffic will be diverted from Bhopura border, Tahirpur T-point, Gagan Cinema T-point. It said Wazirabad Road (Mangal Pandey Road) will be closed for general traffic from 5 am. Counting of votes in East Delhi will take place at Commonwealth Games Village, Akshardham. Similarly, there will be some traffic restrictions in the area from 5 am, the advisory said. To ensure smooth traffic management in the area and seamless travel, commuters are advised to plan their journey in advance and take alternate routes.

It said that commuters coming from Sarai Kale Khan/’MGM’ side towards National Highway-24 will take Akshardham flyover and reach Pusta Road/ITO/Vikas Marg to reach their destination. The advisory said that commuters coming from ITO/Pusta Road side will come to Akshardham flyover opposite Akshardham Temple and will come on National Highway-24 to reach their destination towards Delhi.

The advisory said that commuters are requested to cooperate by avoiding these roads if possible and make maximum use of public transport to ensure safe travel. Those heading towards ISBTs/Railway Stations/Airports are advised to plan their journey carefully with adequate time, the advisory said.
