Kesarkar said the fatwa helped the Shiv Sena (UBT) win seats in Mumbai. If you subtract that (minority votes), each Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate would have lost by more than 1-1.5 lakh votes. He further claimed that Muslim voters are convinced that Uddhav Thackeray has ‘abandoned’ the Hindutva ideology and the ideals of Bal Thackeray. Deepak Kesarkar also alleged that the Shiv Sena (UBT) falsely claimed that Marathi voters were not supporting the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.

Maharashtra minister and Eknath Shinde’s loyalist Deepak Kesarkar has made a big claim about Shiv Sena (UBT)’s victory in Mumbai Lok Sabha seats.
