More than 250 rallies, social media buzz, heavy campaigning via helicopter…yet Tejashwi got only four seats

YEARS

A tremendous effort was made to create a ruckus on social media as well. Seeing the hard work of Tejashwi, a good performance was expected. But that did not happen. In Bihar, RJD had fielded candidates on 23 seats and VIP, which was contesting from its quota, had fielded candidates on 3 seats.

At the beginning of the Lok Sabha elections, the most discussed thing was that the opposition India Alliance could get a lot of success in Bihar and Maharashtra. This claim proved to be true in Maharashtra. But in Bihar, India Alliance lagged behind somewhere. The entire responsibility of campaigning for India Alliance in Bihar rested with RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Tejashwi Yadav. Tejashwi Yadav has done more than 250 public meetings and road shows in Bihar. He roared loudly during the entire election campaign. Mukesh Sahni of VIP Party also remained with him continuously.

A tremendous effort was made to create an uproar on social media as well. Looking at Tejashwi’s hard work, a good performance was expected. But that did not happen. In Bihar, RJD had fielded candidates on 23 seats and VIP, contesting from its quota, on 3 seats. Despite this, out of these 26 seats, RJD managed to win only four seats. RJD had won Pataliputra, Jehanabad, Aurangabad and Buxar Lok Sabha seats. Misa Bharti from Pataliputra, Surendra Yadav from Jehanabad, Abhay Kushwaha from Aurangabad and Sudhakar Singh from Buxar saved the party’s honour. RJD’s performance in Bihar has been worse than Chirag Paswan’s party, JDU, BJP, Jitan Ram Manjhi and Congress.

Upendra Kushwaha, who was part of the All India camp, also faced defeat this time. CPI and CPIM also got a chance to contest on one seat each where they had to face defeat. There are 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. Out of these 40 seats, BJP and JDU have won 12 seats each. Chirag Paswan’s party has won 5 seats with 100% strike. Bihar State BJP President Samrat Chaudhary has hinted at contesting the 2025 state assembly elections under the leadership of his ally party JD(U) President and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. While talking to reporters in the capital Patna on Thursday, Chaudhary said on a question about contesting the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, “Where is the problem in this? BJP has been contesting elections under his leadership since 1996 and will continue to do so.”
