The Congress claimed on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was elected leader of the National Democratic Alliance even before the Bharatiya Janata Party’s parliamentary party meeting because Modi was not sure whether his party MPs would choose him as their leader. Narendra Modi was on Friday unanimously elected leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parliamentary party. After this, the NDA leaders will meet President Draupadi Murmu and stake claim to form the government and then Narendra Modi will take oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time on Sunday.
