Parties of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance will meet President Draupadi Murmu on Wednesday to stake claim to form a government under the leadership of Narendra Modi. Sources said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wants to expedite the process of government formation and wants Narendra Modi to “act fast”. “Hurry up,” he told the PM during the NDA meeting. “There should be no delay in government formation. We should do it as early as possible,” sources quoted Nitish Kumar as saying at a meeting of NDA alliance partners held in Delhi today, a day after the Lok Sabha election results were announced.

At the same time, RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav, who is part of the All India Alliance, called Nitish Kumar a kingmaker. Tejashwi said that for the first time we have seen that PM Modi’s magic is over and he is far away from the majority. He will not be able to run the government without his two allies. The meeting was attended by Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and JDU leaders Lallan Singh and Sanjay Jha. All eyes were on JDU, TDP and Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena, which can play an important role in government formation.
