According to the report, President Muizzu will leave for New Delhi on Saturday for the ceremony along with several other senior government officials.

There has been no official confirmation from the Maldives President’s Office about Muizzu’s first official visit to India yet. Earlier, Muizzu had congratulated Modi on Wednesday. He expressed his desire to work closely with Modi to further bilateral relations. Muizzu had said on ‘X’, “Congratulations to Modi, BJP and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on their third consecutive success in the 2024 general elections.” He had said, “I want to work together to advance our common interests for the prosperity and stability of both countries.
