Vistara Airlines will soon be merged with Air India. The process of merger with Air India is underway. Meanwhile, Vistara Airlines CEO Vinod Kannan has made a big statement. He has said that the company is fully capable of making improvements.

It is worth noting that Vistara Airlines had to face pilot related problems some time back. This pilot related problem proved to be a big one for the company as it had to face many disruptions then. However, now the company’s operations are slowly improving.

This information has been given by the company’s CEO Vinod Kannan himself. Speaking at a session of the ‘CAPA India Aviation Summit’ 2024 held in the national capital Delhi, he said that the merger process will be completed by the end of this year. The merger process has started. Kannan said that this merger is being done for growth and cost reduction.

He said India is a unique market and there is enough space for full-service operators in general. He said Vistara is capable of improving. Regarding the merger, Kannan said the process of hiring people for employees other than the operational side is expected to be completed by the end of the month or next month. The merger has not yet received approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). Vistara, a joint venture between Tata and Singapore Airlines, started commercial operations in January 2015. It has a fleet of 70 aircraft.
