This time in West Bengal, which has 42 seats, BJP has won 12 seats, while TMC has captured 29 seats. In the last general election, BJP had won 18 seats and TMC had won 22 seats. BJP’s Bishnupur MP Soumitra Khan has defeated his former wife and TMC candidate Sujata Mandal by 5,567 votes.
