Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday described the spectacular victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Arunachal Pradesh assembly elections as a clear mandate for the politics of development and said that his party will continue to work with even more enthusiasm for the development of the state. The BJP has returned to power in Arunachal Pradesh. The party performed brilliantly by winning 46 seats in the 60-member assembly.

“Thank you Arunachal Pradesh! The people of this wonderful state have given a clear mandate to the politics of development. I thank them for once again reposing their faith in the BJP in the state. Our party will continue to work with even greater zeal for the development of the state,” Modi said in a post on the social media platform X. The Prime Minister praised the BJP workers for their extraordinary hard work in the elections. He said, “It is commendable how they went among the people across the state and connected with them.” The Prime Minister congratulated the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang for winning the Sikkim Assembly elections.

In the Sikkim assembly elections, SKM has returned to power for the second consecutive time by winning 31 out of 32 seats. Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) could get only one seat. The Prime Minister said, I hope to work with the state government to further the progress of Sikkim in the times to come. Modi expressed gratitude to the people who voted in favor of BJP in the assembly elections and appreciated the efforts of the workers. He said, our party will always be at the forefront in the development of Sikkim and fulfilling the aspirations of the people.
