Sanjay Nirupam said that today I say with confidence that the way Sanjay Raut himself says so many things that hurt people, he should be ready that someday he too will get slapped. I do not support slapping anyone. We live in a civilized society, we can disagree with someone but hitting someone to express disagreement is completely wrong.

Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) MP Sanjay Raut on Friday reacted to actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut being slapped by a woman CISF constable at the Chandigarh airport on Thursday. “Some people vote and some give slaps. I don’t know what actually happened. If the constable has said that her mother was also sitting there, then it is true. If her mother was at the farmers’ protest and someone said something against it, it would lead to anger,” Raut said at a press briefing.
The Chandigarh Police on Friday registered a first information report (FIR) against Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) woman constable Kulwinder Kaur posted at the Chandigarh airport for allegedly slapping newly elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut, officials said. Following the complaint, a case was registered against Kaur under sections 323 and 341 of the Indian Penal Code, police said. The CISF constable was immediately suspended following the alleged incident.
